- Introduce yourself to your child’s teacher
Taking the time to meet with your child’s teacher reinforces your commitment to their success. Take the time to walk them in on their first day and introduce yourself to the teacher. Make sure to ask about the best way to communicate with him/her in the case that an issue arises
- Prepare a study area at home
Set up a space in your home that is dedicated to your child’s homework. Remove any distractions and electronics, to help with concentration. Setting a tone that education is a top priority will allow your child to know your expectations for them when it comes to their schoolwork.
