What Symptoms to Look Out for During Flu Season

This flu season has ebbed and flowed for many weeks at this point. On one hand we have recently seen a decline in the number of flu cases, but then on the other hand, the CDC has still considered flu activity high for the last 14 weeks in SC. Symptoms are an indicator of health, even if your guard is up you still need to pay attention to them. If you’re experiencing any combination of the below symptoms, mild or severe, you might just have the flu and need to see a care provider!

  1. Fever or chills
  2. Cough
  3. Sore throat
  4. Runny or stuffy nose
  5. Muscle or body aches
  6. Headaches, with or without congestion
  7. Feeling abnormally tired

It’s important to note that not everyone will have a fever with the flu, and children may experience an upset stomach or diarrhea along with the other symptoms. Remember the flu isn’t just about how you’re feeling, it’s also about making sure you don’t share it with those around you. Fortunately, our centers are here and happy to help to the best of our ability! We offer care 8:00 am to 8:00 pm every day of the week- no appointment necessary.
