Hey Medac! We’re so excited to recognize Dr. Kimbi Marenakos as our Provider of the Week this week!

Prior to joining Medac, Dr. Marenakos had spent 12+ years practicing as a Master’s level psychotherapist in collaboration with primary care providers in the Charleston area.

She believes that in this country and beyond, the vast majority of patients do not have access to mental health resources. And by providing holistic patient care, they were able to make the biggest difference in their patients’ quality of life.

Since she already had extensive training and experience in mental health, she decided to pursue doctoral APRN credentials on the Family NP track. This broadened her scope of practice and has enabled her to provide integrative care in primary, urgent, and specialty care settings.

Dr. Marenakos attended College of Charleston and The Medical University of South Carolina.

In her free time, Dr. Marenakos absolutely loves spending time with her family, and together they enjoy sailing, tennis, running, and traveling. Few people know that before her foray into healthcare she was a vocal performance major at NYU. Music is another passion of hers and there is always a soundtrack to everything she does – she even has a playlist for laceration repairs!
