- Influenza was the most frequently identified respiratory viral pathogen during week ending 03/07/2020 followed by Rhinovirus.
Flu-Associated Deaths in NC: 134 this season, 3 this week
Coronavirus Illness (COVID-19) Tracking!
As of today, at 12pm, the CDC has updated their US reports to include 46 states, and the District of Columbia. States not reporting cases are Idaho, Alabama, and West Virginia.
Nationwide there have been 1,629 reported cases and 41 reported deaths associated with COVID-19.
Dr. Nancy Messonnier, Director at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases said in a CDC telebriefing on 3-4-2020: “States are reporting results quickly and in the event of a discrepancy between CDC and state case counts, the state case counts should always be considered more up to date.”
