Employee Benefits

Medac has designed and provides benefit plans to meet the needs of our full-time employees, whether you are a physician, physician's assistant, or a clinical or administrative staff member.

Benefits for Full-Time Administrative and Clinical staff:

BENEFIT DETAILS
Medical and Prescription 100% of the employee's medical insurance premium is paid by Medac.  The cost of dependent coverage (if elected) is paid by the employee.
Dental 100% of the employee's dental insurance premium is paid by Medac.  The cost of dependent coverage (if elected) is paid by the employee.
Life / AD&D 100% of the employee's Life / AD&D insurance premium is paid by Medac.
Long Term Disability 100% of the employee's LTD insurance premium is paid by Medac.
Short Term Disability 100% of the employee's STD insurance premium is paid by Medac.
Holidays New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day (Employees who are scheduled to work, or are asked to work on these holidays receive 1 1/2 times their normal hourly rate of pay)
Paid Time Off Full-time employees accrue PTO at the rate of 6.00 hours per pay period (semi-monthly) during the first 5 years of employment.  Beginning with the 6th year, full-time employees accrue PTO at the rate of 7.33 hours per pay period.  After10 years of employment, PTO is accrued at the rate of 8.67 hours per pay period.
Retirement Medac sponsors a 401(k) retirement plan designed to allow voluntary pre-tax employee deferrals of income. The company matches a portion of the employee-deferred income.  A component of the 401(k) Plan is profit sharing. Eligibility for contributions is contingent upon the completion of 2 years of full time employment of greater than 1000 hours during a tax year.

 

Benefits for Full-Time Physician's Assistants and Nurse Practitioners:

Short Term Disability 100% of the employee's STD insurance premium is paid by Medac.
Continuing Medical Education Reimbursement for up to two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) in CME expenses is provided.
Professional Liability Professional Liability insurance is provided.
